QATPL is planning to develop an engineering and technology training center in Pakistan

QATPL visited GE’s technology center in Dubai and Kuwait in the preparations and planning of building a next generation of engineers and technology experts in Pakistan. A team of senior management was including in the delegate, and the main goal was to learn the best practices of GE from both technology centers and also wanted to learn about the GE monitoring technology installed at their own power Station at QATPL (Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power (PVT) Limited.

QATPL owns and operates the Bhikki Power station where two of 9HA.01 are installed these gas turbines are providing the lowest cost conversion of gas to electricity at 62.44% efficiency.

As per CEO QATPL Mr. Akhtar Hussain, “This was a very enlightening visit with GE, where we gathered valuable background and best practices that will help us create the strongest possible training programs for our future students. We also worked through some questions and challenges we had relating to GE’s monitoring and diagnostics technology, and we now have a better understanding about how it detects and helps resolve issues”.

  • Best Practices of GE,
  • Leaned the live demo of 9HA.01 O&M simulator which will help the new engineers understand the value of O&M for customer.
  • How GE’s monitoring and diagnostic system works to support their plant in Pakistan
